Steeped in history, versatile, surprising

St. Ruprecht an der Raab

Our market town

Weiz - Sankt Ruprecht region

St. Ruprecht an der Raab is one of the oldest proven villages in Styria.

The town was first mentioned in a document over 1150 years ago and became a market town around 550 years ago. The ideal location of the market town in the Raabtal valley is still responsible for strong population growth today (around 2,500 registered residences in 2013). Village life with its traditions and customs still plays a major role in St. Ruprecht an der Raab. Many small businesses line the village square and the main street.

St. Ruprecht power places

St. Ruprecht an der Raab is not only an ideal starting point for adventurous journeys of discovery, but also offers numerous excursion destinations in its own right.

The special thing about this place are certainly the numerous blessed places – places of encounter and inner contemplation, above all the beautiful baroque church and the grotto of peace, which is located in the vault under the staircase of the church, romantic chapels, a spring water fountain with an interesting history and much more.
