The power garden
Over 2,500 m² with lush greenery, living water, an extraordinary variety of plants and many open spaces & retreats to relax. We have been drawn to nature from the very beginning and today we are once again true nature lovers. In 1997, we set the first example, also in the direction of “sustainability” – “Ochensberger’s Power Garden” was created and this beautiful garden oasis with living water and lush greenery quickly became a retreat and an energy refuelling station for our guests. The enthusiasm of our visitors proved us right and thus the foundation stone for our “green” path was laid. As an environmentally certified hotel, we have been particularly committed to sustainability and an ecological approach for over 10 years. Innovations and environmental aspects, the preservation of natural resources and human interaction are harmoniously harmonised here at the Garten-Hotel.

The inhalatorium with soothing salty sea air is said to have an expectorant, anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory effect to prevent and cure chronic bronchitis and sinusitis.
Orchard
The in-house orchard
The hotel’s own orchard with numerous apple trees covers an area of over 4500 m². At harvest time, our guests can stroll through the orchard, snack and harvest as they please. The early flowering fruit trees and berry bushes are a valuable pasture for insects and therefore also attract a number of beneficial insects. Whether green roofs, power gardens or orchards, the ecological approach to nature is a high priority at the garden hotel. By avoiding the use of peat, synthetic chemical pesticides and fertilisers, we ensure that the soil is treated with care and promote biodiversity in the immediate living environment.
